Hey hi hello, it’s me, your friendly neighborhood herb-noob with exciting news.
I made a tea for cramps. That WORKED.
I know I know, of course it worked, people haven’t been using herbs for thousands of years for giggles, but like… You spend so long reading about herbal remedies, but when you make one from scratch yourself and it works… I haven’t felt such joy and confidence in a long time.
Ingredients:
2 parts Chamomile
1 part Lavender
½ part ginger
½ part sage
1 part mint (I used chocolate mint)
I ground the herbs together in my mortar and pestle, poured the ingredients into a teapot with a fine filter, poured a cup and added two spoons of honey, and boom. Half an hour later my cramps were gone after Midol didn’t do anything all morning. Please, if you try this recipe, let me know if it works for you too!
Disclaimer: I used food grade ingredients, always make sure any herbs or herbal concoctions you ingest are food grade.
